Hi! Honestly that is such an interesting topic for your EPQ!

1)
Positives: Can help stop suffering of terminally ill patients, it can also reduce financial burdens e.g if someone needs life time medication but have to pay for it
Negatives: I guess the power could be abused to some extent? I don't think people are fully educated on the situation or how extreme the idea of euthanasia is, it's also such a grey area and many people would have so many conflicting beliefs

2) I think it should be legalised (but in specific circumstances)!

1. Positives, some people don’t want to take their own life, fail, and end up in an even worse position that they are already in. Those whom are terminally ill already have less opportunity that most, and you are denying them their own lives.
Negatives: people may have changed their minds about euthanasia at a later date (which would be too late), it is so morally grey and could easily be abused

2. I think it should be legalised but with a system, so like you sign up and go to like self help therapy and stuff for 6 months/1 year to check if this is something they really wanna go through with or just a one-off, and help them consider all their options
