Is it safe to travel to rude UK right now ?

As an international student preparing to come to the UK next month for my studies, I’m very very anxious about the situation there especially in Coventry. Can someone explain as to when things are going to get better or is it even worth it to travel now?

Yes, you’ll almost certainly be safe in the UK. Just stay away from protests and you’ll be fine. They should die down soon regardless.

It's perfectly safe. The rioting it very focussed, you'd have to actively go looking for it to find trouble. It's making the news a) because it's unusual and b) because there is strong evidence it is orchestrated

The riots have now died down. The UK is as safe as ever, which it to say, quite safe. Levels of social violence are in general much lower in the UK than they are in the USA and in some developing countries.

Hi

I hope you are fine. I understand your concerns regarding the riots that were going on. It gets very alarming especially when you are travelling and away from your home. I would like to tell you that things are settling well now, and Coventry and other places are safe for students now. Chances of violence are less likely unless there are unfavorable circumstances. I go out at evening to work and come to home at 10pm and luckily I have faced no such issues. I hope this makes you feel relaxed about the situation and make it easier for you to make your mind.
