Updating University Choice if Application Still in Process on Results Day

Dear Student Finance Support,

I hope you're well.

I wanted to reach out regarding my EU24N application, which is currently still being processed. On the form, I listed my firm choice university. However, with results day approaching, I’m concerned about what to do if I end up attending my insurance choice instead.

If my application hasn’t been fully processed by results day, how should I inform Student Finance England (SFE) about the change in university? Will there be any impact on my funding application or delay in processing if I need to update these details after results day?

Thank you for your assistance.
Hi Kausar. if you need to change your course details, you will need to complete and return an EUCO1 form, which you can find in the link below. If we receive this before your application is processed then the details will change over. If this is not received until after, your application would have to be reviewed again.

Thank you! Also, I still haven't received an email of my evidence being received by SFE. I sent it via post with my EU24N form. I can see my course name on there and my application is 'In progress' but my evidence is 'Incomplete' when I sent it with my form in the post. Is this something that would take a while to appear on the page

Hi Kausar, it takes 6-8 weeks for applications to be processed. Once approved you'll receive your entitlement letter. Thanks, Jason
But what is the impact of needing to make a course change while it is being processed?

If you receive your entitlement letter prior to the EUCO1 form being worked then once received and updated, you'll receive a new entitlement letter with the new course information. That form can also take 6-8 weeks to process but in some occasions, it can be picked up and worked in the same timescale above (depending on when we received the previous application and the stage of this). Thanks, Jason
