University of Hertfordshire PGCE

Good evening,

I hope you guys are well. I feel extremely nervous and anxious but I have an interview on Tuesday 13th August for a University of Hertfordshire PGCE Interview. 😬

The structure of the interview is as follows:

Confirmation of identity (photo ID and identifying questions)

•

Welcome and introductions

•

Introductory questions

•

Microteaching task

•

Interview questions

I have to teach a topic from the subject I wish to teach which is Computing either introduce a programming concept within the KS3 Computing National Curriculum to a Year 7 (11/12 years old) class or introduce a key component of computer networking suitable for a Gcse (14/16 year old) Computer Science class lasting 5 minutes to the interview panel.

And that they are looking for the potential to teach not the perfect lesson. Any tips or advice please I don’t know where to start? I’ve never done it before. I need some help please.
