From my experience, reading law with social anxiety is not easy and can be quite lonely, but it is important that you do not take this personally. I had some friendship difficulties at the start of the year and I have learnt that despite what legal professionals say, law students are reluctant to be friends with each other because it is an extremely competitive subject and we all feel like we are competing against each other.
Having said that, if you don't mind working independently and you give it time, you are bound to find some friends at university. They may not all be kaw friends, and you may find that some of the friends you make are not from that University but rather the local community but there are people there for everyone, you just need to give it time.
Most importantly, if you want to study law and are interested in how it affects our everyday lives, just go for it! Don't let your social anxiety or any other factors out you off, this degree is for you and about you! You must do a subject you are interested in because otherwise, it will be much harder. Law is not easy but it is rewarding.
If you have any further questions or would like to chat some more please don't hesitate to message me! You've got this!
(p.s. in my experience outside lectures most of your studying will be spent reading, so I personally find it easier to do this on my own anyway because otherwise you get distracted and you may then find it harder to keep up with all the reading).
