Choosing sixth form

Ik this is super last minute but i still haven’t decided what sixth form to go to.

Option 1 - current school
-all singe sex academic private school so quite sheltered
-offers FM AS level and EPQ which other school doesnt
-I have lots of really close friends there and am worried if I leave we will drift apart
-small class sizes
-shorter commute
-has more sport opportunities, which is important to me
-may affect my odds of getting into unis

Option 2 - selective sixth form college
-very academic, almost as academic as my school
-dont know many people going but would hopefully be able to make friends as it’s a college
-I really like the environment and atmosphere
-I think the change would motivate me
-free BUT I already have a partial scholarship to my school
This really depends on what you want to get out of sixth form.

If you’d rather…
be settled and be able to dive straight into your studies without having to spend time familiarising yourself with the environment and lots of new people
Study Fm at as or an EPQ. Consider how important this is, these are not for everyone so do you actually want to study these?
Stay close with your friends and due to shorter commute perhaps feel more of a community
Stay having small class sizes and at a school with a better academic record
Increase your independence through the changes with come with sixth form rather than by having a change of school
Have more sports opportunities
Then choose your current school!

If you’d rather…
Take this opportunity to reinvent yourself
Meet a lot of new people
Get more independence by moving to a new school and having to settle in
Learn in that environment
Save money for your family
Then choose the second school!

By the way choosing to stay at your school probably wont affect your uni chances much because if the other school is very academic too then your results will be considered against their average I think (may be wrong but I wouldn’t base my decision on this). Happy to be corrected on this though as I havent looked into this much.
