Student finance - Late application

Hi, I've applied for finance today (08/08/24) for a PGCE beginning 4th September. Uploaded all evidence and had parents submit finances.

I'm wondering how long it will take for my application to process, as I don't want it to be late. I also submitted a hardship form on the application today too to defer an overpayment from last academic year. Will that affect the time frame?

In the case that it is late, am i likely to get funding tuition and maintenance? I ask this because I started a pgce last September 2023 but withdrew after a month.. I started a nursing course in Jan 2024 but it was the same academic year as that pgce (23-24). Now that I've withdrawn from nursing and will be starting a pgce again in September (academic year 24-25), will I get full funding? I know nothing can be confirmed but is this how it usually works since I didn't complete last years pgce.

I don't have qualified teacher status but through completing this pgce I hopefully will gain it.

Hi there,

Applications take 6-8 weeks to process from when you submit this to us. PGCE courses are exempt from previous study rules as long as you don't hold a QTS already. Thanks, Jason
