Brunel Digital Design MSc (3D Animation) or Digital Service Design MSc?`

As the title says, what are the key differences between the two courses? I understand that Digital Service Design is for UX but I have some confusion over what is being taught in Digital Design MSc (3D Animation). What kind of career path does it open?
Hi Anonymous #1

Digital Service Design is a computer science course (even though you don't need to have done Computer Sci at undergraduate level). Whereas the one in the Design School is a course aimed at people looking to work in the creative industries, especially gaming / animation / virtual reality / branding. There are no modules in common between them. The best thing to do is read the full descriptions on our website.

Hi there,

From what I understand the Digital Design 3D Animation course offers you a choice of three pathways: motion graphics, 3D animation, or immersive mixed reality. The Digital Service Design course equips graduates with the knowledge to develop exceptional user experience design for digital products and services. This course focuses on the art of building customer experiences.

Hope that helps,

Good luck with your choice,

Sophie
