Personally, all my phones have been Samsung, and I have loved them, but many people claim Apple products are better, despite being on average more expensive.
I've had x2 Samsung phones more recently, and an iPhone 5 a few years ago. I'd go for Samsung phones now - Apple have changed/updated iphones so much I don't think I'd know how to use one I had a play with one in currys a couple of years ago with an iPhone, and failed miserably at using the interface

Yeah, I feel like this is a big reason I won't change over. If someone hands me an iPhone, I am lost!

Apple for anyone who wants a phone that "just works" (grandparents, etc as it's basically unhackable and very hard to break), android for everyone else.
