A complete methodology to business learning
The Business and Management course offers a comprehensive education that covers various aspects of the business world. From accounting and finance to marketing, operations management, and human resource behaviour, students gain a solid foundation in core business fields. This whole approach ensures graduates are provided with a comprehensive understanding of the connection of business functions.

Assessment approach
The assessment methods used in the programme are designed to align with the specific learning outcomes of each module and the stage of study (years 1-3). The programme utilises a blended learning approach, which combines various assessment methods to provide a comprehensive evaluation of a student’s knowledge and skills.

The assessment approach typically includes:

Assignments: Students are given specific projects to complete, which allow them to demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter and apply it to real-world scenarios. Assignments can often be in the form of written reports and case studies. Students are required to write essays that analyse and critically evaluate concepts, theories, and arguments related to the subject area.

Students might participate in group projects or presentations where they collaborate with their peers to solve problems or present their findings. This assesses their teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

Feedback: Throughout the programme, students receive constant formative assignments and feedback on their progress. This includes constructive comments from lecturers, peer feedback, and self-assessment activities. Formative assignments help students identify areas for improvement and supports their constant development.

Programme timeline: In the programme, students normally have one lecture and one tutorial session per week for every module. These sessions provide direct contact with the teaching staff and serve as effective opportunities for communication, clarification, and a deeper understanding of the module content.

Lectures: The lecture sessions are led by the teaching staff and involve the presentation of key concepts, theories, and topics relevant to the module. Lectures are usually conducted in a larger group setting, where the lecturer delivers content to the students. It is an important platform for conveying necessary knowledge, sharing examples, and providing an outline of the subject theme.

Tutorials: The tutorial sessions are smaller, further interactive sessions that allow for a closer and more differentiated engagement between students and teaching staff. Tutorials usually involve discussions, problem-solving activities, group work, and Q&A sessions linked to the module content. Tutorials provide an opportunity for students to ask questions, ask for explanations on tricky topics, engage in critical thinking, and obtain assistance from the teaching staff.
