Applying to Postgraduate SFE after withdrawing previous application?

Hi, I am looking to apply to SFE England for an MSc in Paramedic Science, to start in 2024, however had previously applied in 2016 for a postgraduate loan which I received and had the first instalment paid to the university of application, I withdrew after 2 weeks on the course. Am I eligible to apply again for a postgraduate loan for a new course and university in 2024?

Hi Gray1233,

What was the course that you studied previously in 2016? Was the payment in 2016 made to yourself or the university directly?

Thanks,
Calum

Hi Calum,

The course in 2016 was a MSc psychology (conversion) the payment was made directly to the university.

Hi Gray,

Just to clarify, we're asking because the Postgraduate Loan is paid to yourself, not the university. For example, did the payment come to you first?

Or, was that Masters part of an undergraduate course, like an integrated Masters course?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi Calum,

No the course was a one year separate course after completed a 3 year BSc. The payment was made to me and then to the university.

Thanks.

Hi Gray,

If you've studied a Postgraduate degree previously then you would only be eligible to apply for another Postgraduate degree if you had withdrew due to reasons outwith your control. So we can check your previous course and check your account, if you can contact us on 0300 100 0611.

Thanks, Jason
