Hi,
Hopefully this doesn't turn into a huge paragraph of rambling. I'm just after some advice.
I completed my enrolment for Uni about 4 days ago, on Wednesday I noticed a section on my student profile about my student support number for SFE and it said it was blank and that it's essential the uni have it to make sure I get my payments.
I emailed the student records team and asked if this is a glitch or do they want me to send it across and they said they couldn't find any approved applications under my details for the 24/25 academic year and advised me to make sure I'd completed all actions and if so, give SFE a call.
I called SFE and they said it was most likely the aforementioned number, and that on their end I was approved for tuition and maintenance on 09/04, as I'd applied the day applications opened and everything looks good on their end, they even asked someone higher up to confirm this.
I sent this number across to the uni, and they replied back saying that they could still not find my approved application. They said they're going to contact their higher education provider helpline.
I'm concerned as surely this isn't something that would typically happen? I applied directly to the uni in January and received and accepted an unconditional in February. Would this affect it at all?
I'm also worried that it's going to delay my maintenance payments, as this is what I'm going to be surviving on until I get a job in the city I'm moving to. I can see that my payments are scheduled for 23/09 and that SFE are just waiting for me to register onto my course, which the uni says we do the week or two before welcome week.
Any advice or comfort is much appreciated.
