Are entry requirements lower through clearing?

Like they’ll still let u in if u have little less than what’s required in terms of gcse and ucat (maybe a level grades) for dentistry ??

Unfortunately, dentistry is extremely unlikely to be in clearing!
Grades are not always reduced in clearing. All you can do is check on the day.

Which dental schools have said that?

Not sure but if they do then is there a possibility?

For Dentistry, Unis will not 'have spaces left' to fill via Clearing.

In order to avoid having to organise and reassemble the whole complicated MMI entourage in the middle of Clearing, if they have any spaces they may accept a few 'near-miss' Firm applicants and/or use applicants from a waiting list - those they interviewed earlier in the year but who just missed the necessary interview score for an offer at that Uni and crucially, are not now holding another Dentistry offer anywhere else. These people will have already been told they are on a waiting list and may get a phone call on Results Day.

You can, of course, check websites on Results Day and even phone Unis if you want to - but the response will be a big fat No.

What about foundation years?

If there are any spaces, these will be filled by Unis with those who miss their offers on the main degree, and meet any extra criteria for that course.

Bottom line - if you want to do Dentistry, you'll have to apply on a gap year, but if you want to do Dentistry for the right reasons, one extra year isnt going to worry you that much.
