How to dry cloths that are not allowed tumble dryer

Hello, I am going to the UK as an international student.
I read the What to Pack list provided on the homepage of the University of Exeter. It says using dry airer in the bedroom is not allowed.
However, some of my clothes can't be in the tumble dryer at the accommodation.
In my case, how can I dry them?

Hello, I usually hang clothes that can't be tumble dried on hangers off my door, wardrobe, or radiator. You just have to keep the window cracked open so that the air doesn't get too moist (this can lead to mould growth). I also had a rack that could hook over my door which provided more space to hang things from. If none of these options work when you move in, I would recommend asking other people how they are drying their clothes as they may have some creative solutions!
Good luck starting your studies.

When you get there, reassess the clothes horse situation. They were technically 'banned' at my halls of residence, but it was one of the rules literally everyone ignored (because of how expensive it was to actually was to put on a wash).

As mentioned above, creative solutions e.g. hanging on hangers are good. During summer months/heatwaves a clothes horse might still be worth having as you could sit outside with it and they'll dry quite quickly.

On the ither hand, is there a possibility you would actually use the clothes that can't be tumble dried? Can you swap them for clothes that can be tumble dried? It would save some packing room as well

Thank you for your solution! I didn't think about the door hook(hanger). As you said, I will ask other people as well. Also, Thanks for your words for my start

What a rule that is literally 'ignored'! Haha, then I don't need to be stressed due to the problem! Thank you so much. I wonder, can I get clothes that can be tumble-dried easily in the UK? Unfortunately, It's uncommon in my country😢

Ikr? I think it's mainly because in most places halls of residence (and laundrettes) are probably the few places with tumble dryers. Most halls will have tumble dryers in the laundry room (I think circuit laundry charges me something like £3.40 :yikes: ).
I was talking with my parents earlier about how we never use the tumble dryer at home, but apparently it's mainly to do with cost and electricity.

Definitely worth still checking clothes tags (some materials it depends) but I've never had any issues with my putting any of my clothes in the tumble dryer.

Places like shared houses for second year and private halls are more likely to allow clothes horses. Even if you do end up getting a clothes horse once you're here it's easy enough to store in the wardrobe.

Another rule my halls had was 'no plug extensions', but again everyone ignored that too (because we only had one or two plugs in the whole bedroom).
