Hi! Is anyone applying for the Dental Hygiene/Therapy course at Sheffield for 2025?

I cant find the course on ucas. can anyone point me in the right direction or send a link to it. just wont come up?

You don’t apply through ucas, you go directly through the uni. Check out their page for their course and it is on there 🙂

Hey! I’m applying too! I was wondering why is the course shorter than most unis? And as it’s a higher education is it not equivalent to a degree? Hope ur application is going good!

Hi Becca, from my understanding the course is shorter because it’s a diploma however there is still a lot of content. You also don’t get a lot of time off, it’s very full on from the people I’ve spoken too. It doesn’t affect your GDC application or your job opportunities after. If you are wanting it to top it up as a degree I believe UCLan offer a top up. I did a degree previously so this wouldn’t be something I’d be looking at doing after. My application went well (I think aha) I sent it off a couple of weeks back. Won’t hear back till after the deadline. Good luck with your application 😃

Hey, I’m applying for this intake. Does anyone have an idea of the structure of the course please? Like a calendar example 😂 I’m travelling an hour per day with 2 children at home, Iv put it off for 3 years due to family commitments so really hoping this intake is for me! Thank you x

Hey Carmel I'm in a similar situation, have already studied at undergrad so as long as it doesn't affect GDC registration or job applications I don't imagine that I'd be topping up either :smile:
