Big4- Changing Service Line

Hi All,

I’ve started a graduate programme at Big4 company, and I am really really disliking it. The job doesn’t involve any skill, it is boring and there are no career prospects (or very few, and they are limited). I am severely unhappy (having mental breakdowns etc), and I am always dreading coming into the office because I really don’t like the job. I completely understand that at the beginning you may be doing boring tasks, and I’m perfectly fine with that, as long as the actual job itself is in an interesting realm. However, this job is known for being really bad, having a super high turnover of staff, and being boring and quite useless.

I am asking if anyone knows if there is ANY possibility for me to change graduate scheme at Big4? Is there any way possible for me to join another team in another department? I am trying to make connections in a department which I know I’m really likely to like , however I am scared that if I try to move, HR will just tell me that you can’t. Does anyone have any advice?
