The Student Room Group

What agegroup does everyone think PG films are for?

I personally think the agegroup for them is children of 10 years old and over.

Also, I noticed the description doesn’t say exactly what agegroup they’re for, it only says that PG stands for Parental Guidance and that some scenes may be unsuitable for young children.

(I usually go by the BBFC ratings)

BBFC (from their website) says "A PG should generally not unsettle a child aged around eight" However it also mentions precautions may be taken for more sensitive children. I assume here it's up to the parent's judgement.

Okay then. I’ll accept that.

Fair enough. I dunno why you think 18+ but I’ll accept it anyway.
Although by that logic, it would mean films with higher ratings than PG would be for 18+ as well.
