Hello!

1) What A-levels do you do? I do Economics, BST, Maths w/Statistics, History and mandatory AS English Language. (Anything to avoid IELTS at this point, it feels insulting since I've been in an English-medium school all my life! It's my main language! Anyways.)
2) What is your favourite subject? Economics and History share the top spot, honestly.
3) Which unis/courses have you got your eye on? Economics or Anthropology.
4) What is your favourite TV show/film? I don't watch much TV, it's quite tragic. But the last thing I liked watching was Turning Point on Netflix. Otherwise, I really liked Vitre's recent analysis on The Witcher on YouTube.
5) What kind of music do you like to listen to? Lots of things! I'm into Xiu Xiu, Los Campesinos! and Charli XCX at the moment, though LC! are lifelong favourites. Chappell Roan has really showed up this summer, I especially like Good Luck, Babe! and Casual.

oh yeah i have heard it, i've seen some really funny jokes about it on twitter where people are acting like he's the next pop girlie (idk how active you are on twitter but fandoms for pop stars are known for being a bit obsessive about statistics and charts so people are parodying that a lot) and yeah i agree i think online spaces in general are really interesting for finding loads of perspectives yk? cannot wait to get to season 2!!

I don't have twitter so idk what's going on there (I'm kind of a pophead though so I know how obsessive some fans can be). But yes I agree that Lestat is the next pop girlie and he needs to get number 1 on the charts!!!!1!!!1! Yes I love hearing different opinions on things because I don't think of anything interesting myself :p:

Hello everyone!

I do Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Psychology. Favourite subject? I guess it's Computer Science because that's what I want to do at university but I love all my subjects fairly equally to be honest.

For uni, I either want to do a degree in Computer Science that specialises in Cyber Security later on or Computer Science and Philosophy as a joint honours degree.

I'm not really a TV gal so I don't really have a favourite film or show. Music wise, I unapologetically am more geared towards pop and kpop 😁

Good luck with the following year! How has everyone's summers been so far?
Hey everyone I'm Bee!

I do French (OCR), English Lit (OCR) and Politics (Edexcel)

I love love love French because I'm a huge language nerd but I also really enjoy literature!

I'm applying for French and Linguistics b/c it's literally the one course I found that encompasses all my interests and I can't wait to go to Uni!

Gossip Girl is probably my favourite show of all time, I think I've watched it from start to finish more than 5 times

I am a MASSIVE Lorde superfan, I can guess all her songs from the first second but I am also a K-pop fan and my favourite group is Seventeen!

I'm honestly excited for this year! It's going to be stressful but we can make it worth it!

Cool! I quite like the combination of subjects. Since I'm looking to do psychology at uni, it's nice to be studying one science subject (bio) and one humanities subject (socio) since psychology has both scientific and abstract elements to it. Although I find biology quite difficult if I'm being honest :frown: How are you finding the combination of subjects? I was looking into anthropology a while ago and it seems really interesting

yeah I agree Bio is definitely the hardest of the three! I love human biology but plant biology is horrible and the mark schemes are sooo specific. Psych is defo the easiest one for me and pretty interesting! Socio is such a meh subject for me I don't find it very hard but its just a bit boring. Good luck with your uni applications - where are you thinking?!

Yeah I struggle the most with plant biology. I've been meaning to go over translocation/transpiration. I find socio the easiest but psych the most enjoyable. Thanks  I'm not sure where I'm thinking tbh because I'm still researching unis since we can only pick 5 (I find it stressful so I'm putting it off :frown:). Good luck with your uni applications too; have you got any unis in mind yet?
1) I do Geography (CIE), Maths (WJEC), and English lit (Edexcel I believe)
2) Geography definitely I believe lol
3) Lancaster maybe and I'm looking at a physical geography course. Maybe F800 or something similar
4) I mostly watch animated stuff so Disney etc
5) I play piano and violin so I like sad, beautiful music. River flows in you, Schindler's theme, Comptine D'un autre ete, songs like that

ugh yeah transolcation will be the absolute death of me, I meant to revise bio over the holidays but I have been so busy that i've barely done any revision at all! For uni i'm defo applying for human science/social anthropology at St Andrews, Durham, Edinburgh, Birmingham and idk the last one. I know it can be really stressful looking so i'd recommend getting the league table up and just going through a few at a time, I found watching yt videos from students at that uni really helpful to get the vibe of the city and uni in general. Good luck!
