Expired passport

Hello I have a expired passport which may take weeks or months to get renewed. I have a provisional licence, share code and birth certificate can these be used to enroll in a university.
Have you been told that you need you passport?

Nope not by any uni but dont you need ID to enroll? I just want to make sure I've got everything covered im very nervous.
Its sounds like you have EU Nationality.
Have you already sorted out your fee status with your Firm and Insurance Unis?

Yup got that all sorted through student finance all I had to do is give my share code.
Then you are not going to need a valid passport for enrolment - this happens online, not in person.
But I'd recommend that you get a new passport asap for a whole heap of reasons.

All the appointments in the foreseeable future are booked it may take me 3 months or more. Will I be fine for uni until then?

Yes, can't see why you'd need one that quickly but you do need to get it renewed so you avoid this sort of panic in the future.
In the pretty unlikely event that there's an in-person ID check, they may accept an expired passport or your provisional licence.

The provisional should be fine for any going out you want to do in freshers' week etc nobody who has the option not to would choose to take their passport anyway.

Renewing the passport is more that it's good to make sure it's in date, especially if you want to do any travel.
