A levels resitting for medicine in UK

So most medical schools in UK say they don't accept " A level resits". Do they mean that they don't accept students to resit the grade 12 exams or do they mean any exam in the whole 2 years of A levels. Like Is it acceptable if I only resit for 2 or 3 AS level exams (grade 11), but I don't resit any grade 12 exams and achieve the minimum A level, can i still get into most of the medical schools in the UK?

They usually mean that you took 3 subjects to full A level on a standard two year course, didnt get the required grades and are now retaking. "Three years A levels" where you repeated year 1 for whatever reason, are often viewed differently and you need to email each Uni and ask.

Btw, Bristol has no problem either with resits or 3-year A levels.

So what if I resit a few AS exams only in the start of grade 12(Oct/nov), do my A level exams and get the required grades, is that fine? Since it will all be within the standard two year course

Yes, that is fine. Resitting modules, as long as the A levels are completed within the 2 yrs is fine
