it begins again....
my overall goals for this summer are to finish any bits of coursework, and to have a first draft of my personal statement DONE.
key dates are the mlat in october and interviews (hopefully) in december.
here is my current checklist:
DAILY:
read 20 pages minimum of whatever book i'm currently reading
15 minutes of notes on the personal statement (this will change to drafting further along the holiday)
CURRENT:
finish my first draft of the english literature short coursework. one paragraph on monday, the other on tuesday.
updates will be.... sporadic. i'm going to france on wednesday, so i'll hopefully update when i've finished my coursework draft on tuesday, and again with what i've done in france when i come back. after that, i'll aim for weekly updates, and let you know as the more specific goals shift. more structure will come when i'm back at school!

I can see that you are tired lol 😭 keep it up!! Good luck
girl who has finally finished her personal statement first draft

literallyyyy u get it
sorry for being inactive LMAO my school's wifi hasn't been working which makes getting schoolwork done as a laptop user an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!
this weekend is sooo busy unfortunately but i will persevere.
homework:
tragedy poster (due monday)
finish melvyn bragg story of english documentary (due monday)
hamlet soliloquy analysis (due tuesday)
start eng lang nea research (tuesday)

one thing about year 13 is they do Not give you a break!! they should invent work where there are no consequences to not doing it.
oxbridge application deadline is looming... on a more positive note, everyone i've shown my personal statement to has said the only changes i need to make are minor, so that's a win!!
if i'm being honest, i'm not feeling the most locked in right now. there was a point in y12 where instead of work i taught myself how to play solitaire and memorised the states of the usa with a sporcle quiz. feeling like that version of myself again. just trying to turn my work into chunks rn. so for example, the soliloquy is annotated and i know what my paragraphing will be like. i've watched half the documentary. i know what my nea is, and i have some extra studies from a trinity college essay i did over the summer. i still have hopes for becoming an academic weapon! it is NOT over!

i also play solitaire to ignore doing my college work. but YAY for the personal statement progress!!
