any advice on starting college? (Scotland)

I will be starting college this August for more highers so I can get into uni.

I've attended college only part-time, but not full-time; it's funny that school is no longer in the picture since I was a school leaver this June.

Taking my family's advice, this will supposedly help me adapt to a "uni-like" environment, help with maturity, help me save up for uni, and most importantly apply for uni.

I'm just a little upset that my friends are going to uni and I'm not this year. I don't want to waste this year, how can I make the most out of this year?

just looking for advice.

The most you can do for urself this year is get the best grades u can get in what ur doing, ensure u make good bonds with classmates/teachers and just enjoy urself.

Don’t be upset, coz you’ll go to uni feeling more prepared since you’ve got more time to ready urself. Ur parents are right for sure, since college is more liberal. So u can take the reigns on ur work rather than a teacher nagging at u and giving detentions like a sixth form would.
