Academic discounting again

Hello. I’m a 3rd year student studying in Scotland. So far I failed mt 3rd year in my first attempt and I repeated the year again last academic year. Although I sadly failed few of my resits so I won’t be able to make it to the 4th year. So I failed my 3rd year both the chance I was given. Although I determined myself not to give up, because this time I faced things which I couldn’t control and which were out of my hand. So I was thinking maybe I could academic discount the whole year again, starting fresh. But I might have to wait for the decision to renew my visa with the immigration compliance team. My current visa expires in October 2024. So if I was academic discounting again because of the issues that I faced, is there anything else that I can make them give me another go in my 3rd year? Thank you, have a good day.

No one on this forum can answer that - only the academic committee for your School can reply.

The university has made allowances by allowing you to repeat the year. If you failed the second time round then - effectively - you have had 4 attempts to pass a particular module - two attempts in your first round of year 3 assessments, then two further attempts in your second round of year 3 assessments.

If you had extenuating circumstances you needed to present them BEFORE you sat your assessments. Its too late now to suddenly turn up with extenuating circumstances that you have not told the university about before.

Hello thanks for the reply. All the ones which I repeated were given to me to resit under good cause because of my declining metal health by that time. But for the resits i didnt submit any absences because i thought I would have made them. So im still figuring what to do.
