Social work bursary - need help

Hi, so I’m starting second year soon and placement is starting in October. The social work bursary came out super late this year only last week, so planning my finances logistically has been a nightmare. Can anyone who did social work and got the bursary let me know when the bursary gets paid and how much each term?

Hi, i get the SW bursary. It’s £4800 a year and you get it split into 3 payments of £1600 and is paid a couple of days after you get your student finance.
Thread moved to ask student finance england - one of their reps should be in touch soon.

That's the figure for outside London. If you study in London, it is £5,262 (again paid in three instalments - one each term). The bursary is administered by the NHS BSA - their website has all the details of the bursary and answers to most questions can be found in the two pdfs located at the bottom of the following webpage. Also, the 'Visit our Knowledge Base' link on the page is a good resource as it covers a lot of FAQs about the bursary.
