Has anyone struggled with getting a response from student finance regarding their funding for the course??

It’s been over a month and I’ve only been approved for the estranged status?

Evidence takes 6 weeks to process from when we last receive this from you. If you monitor your account for an update once this is processed. Thanks, Jason

The evidence has been processed and approved; I received an email this morning.. I’m just waiting for the overall outcome as it’s a month before I start my course

The approved email is confirmation that your application is approved which is the overall outcome. It can sometimes take a few working days after that to be updated on your account but you would be best checking the inbox section of your online account to see if your entitlement letter has been generated and sent to you.

So because I’ve been approved as an estranged student; does that mean my whole student finance application has been approved?

Hi ; it didn’t say that on the email. It just said

“Independent student status granted for the duration of your studies

Your independent student status has been awarded as you’re irreconcilably
estranged from your parents.

You’ll only need to send us more evidence if we ask you for it.“

Your application sounds like it's approved. Check your online account over the next couple days and you should have your entitlement letter.
