Forget the rankings. No one outside academia cares. Which uni have you the best vibes? Which university has the course that sounds most interesting? I take it you have been to open days. If not, go! But forget the rankings. If we are going to discriminate against students based on where they studied we might as well also discriminate based on where you were born or how much your parents earn no?

Hi @Alpha1214,

I hope you're keeping well.

Though I won't speak for the other great universities here, I can tell you that our Business Top Up courses here is fantastic, due to the supportive environment and rigourous nature of the studies, allowing us to achieve brilliant results with alumni, who have gone on to further incredible roles such as Amazon, PwC, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, etc.

Our top-up course is highly praised and incredibly vigorous, offering the necessary support for the foundational stages of learning, meaning that the leap across from work or even other subjects is steady, whilst the relevant and modern aspects of learning are rigorous and absolute, ensuring you have an up-to-date understanding of the latest industry practises.
You'll be taught a combination of quantitative and qualitative modules, helping you to balance the numerical, data-driven, and theoretical aspects of business with the real world, applied factors which we encounter on a day-to-day basis, all to carry you to the job-market securely. Furthermore, as many of the modules are optional - this year of study helps you to choose the relevant topics for yourself to learn, ensuring you recieve a great return.

You'll be supported by first-class facilities with well-equipped lecture and seminar spaces, as well as breakout spaces for group work, dedicated rooms for our MBA and postgraduate research students including the Bloomberg suite, computer labs, etc. and lecturers who naturally care, and are forced to care (Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds! Basically, every lecturer will have consultation hours which are hours where they put down everything if you enter their office to ask questions, major classes will have drop-ins which are 1 hour-long question sessions, and we also have support departments alongside this. Despite all this, our lecturers are hired because they care and are passionate for teaching in the first place! So no matter what, you'll be given the support you deserve at all steps of the way). This is frankly my favourite part of the university, as it's truly an underrated aspect of learning which many people take for granted until they really need it!

Alongside this though, Canterbury itself is just a beautiful place to study at. We have historic and gorgeous architecture over here, campus itself is semi-rural, where you'll undoubtedly see many cute critters and birds going about their day, and again, with respect to the labour market - Canterbury is also a major commuter city to London, being only an hour away by train from the City. As such, networking there will be easy, but also at campus itself - as many major business and economics events are hosted at Sibson - giving all our students and prospective employers the opportunity to get to know one another. But please, don't take my word for it.
We'd love to have you here, either visiting or studying! We'll have clearing open days available starting on the 16th and going on until the 18th. Alternatively, if you're an applicant, you can also arrange a more-personalised applicant day where you learn a bit more about the Uni as well.
Clearing is now open as well, so if you’re still considering your options, now is the perfect time to explore what we have to offer. We're here to help you find the right course for you, and so we look forward to welcoming you!

Anyways, I apologise for writing a lot here, but I truly believe Kent is the right place for you to study.
It has for me at least!

Warm regards,

David
