Hi az33333,
The advisors you have tagged are no longer with SFE. I have fed this back as there is no clear internal guidance on this and will update you when I have a response.
Thanks,
Calum

Thankyou very much Calum, i will be waiting for your response.

Please get back to me whenever possible, as i am deciding between whether to sit this last exam (which is next month) for Level 6 or not. And i want to keep my options open for future degree open as that is my top priority.

Remember the confusion lies because it is a professional qualification not eligible for student finance and although it is level 6 but it is said to be "broadly" equivalent to a degree.

As a side note if it helps ACCA also offers a degree BSc Applied Accounting in partnership with Oxford Brookes Uni, but that requires to submit and pass a research project on top of passing 9 exams.

So if ACCA itself were equivalent to a degree they will not need to create this program.

Hi there. Professional qualifications are not considered ELQ's, therefore you would be eligible for funding to apply for an eligible course with SFE. Thanks, Leah.

Hi @Leah SLC thanks for confirming.

So the level of qualification does not matter, the nature of qualification matters.

When applying for student finance, if one has Professional Qualification. Do they need to declare/disclose it ?

You don't need to declare this on the application, that's correct - we only ask you to declare previous study at degree-level.

Thanks, Graeme

Thankyou very much @Graeme SFE .

I have read on other forums that SFE Rep's basically ask for the course one might want to study and check their databases for qualifications against that. Can you do that for me please, for one final assurance.

Cambridge: BA Economics
UCL: BA Economics
LSE: BA Economics, BSc Accounting & Finance
Warwick: BSc/BA Economics
Imperial: Economics, Finance and Data Science BSc

Can you please check these qualifications against ACCA Affiliate/ ACCA Member.

Many Thanks
