Student finance will not arrive on time

So I submitted my SFE application on the 3rd of July. I’m classed as an independent student so I need to submit evidence. I was told that waiting for SFE to request it would delay my application further so I submitted both death certificates of my parents but I don’t have a birth certificate. It says on my account that they’re reviewing my evidence and they’ll have an update by 29th of August. I fear not having a birth certificate will delay my application further so what do I do? Also, if my course starts and my application hasn’t been finalised, will I still be allowed to go on the first day of the course? Thanks in advance
