second degree part time

Hi everyone.
A few years ago whilst raising my babies I completed a part time business degree with open University, I got the 2 years HND not the full degree.

I am lost trying to see what my options would be for finance if I wanted to study another part time degree at a physical university as I work full time and really need a change, I don't want to be a waitress all my life and want to learn something new.

thanks x

Hi there,

Do you have any courses in mind that you'd like to do? Is it just a HND you hold?

Thanks,
Ross

It depends on what courses it is you're interested in doing and if it's part time or full time.

Thanks,

part time as I work full time. I wouldn't be looking for maintaince loan only tuition. am I right in thinking it would just be STEM subjects?

Hi fhow13,

If you hold a HND qualification you would generally only be eligible for further funding if you are going on to study a higher level course such as an honours degree. We may have to take your previous study into account when assessing your eligibility for future funding, once you have a course in mind you can contact us and we will be able to advise more specifically on what funding you may be eligible for.

Thanks,
Calum

Hi fhow13,

That course is full time only on the system. If you are studying a full time degree level, this should be fine as it is a higher level qualification however, it might be worth double checking the course details to ensure that the course itself attracts funding from SFE.

Thanks, Clare

Hi there. I have checked and can see there is a Full Time and a Part Time option as mentioned, just to clarify, you are only interested in applying for the Part Time course, you hold a HND qualification and have no other previous study, is that correct? Thanks, David
