The NHS won't care where you studied and as long as the course is HCPC approved it will meet the required standards. It is best to choose a uni that you like and a location you will be happy living in. Have you been to open days at these unis? Do go so that you can see the facilities, chat to staff and students, and get a feel for the cities. Ask where the placements are and if they are easily accessible by public transport. Also, check when placements are held as this does vary a lot by uni (my dd is studying a healthcare course at Liverpool and decided against her insurance choice due the majority of placement weeks being in the summer holidays).

Hello @Fanny388

If you would like to find out more about occupational therapy please check here: https://www.uea.ac.uk/course/undergraduate/bsc-occupational-therapy

According to the Complete University Guide 2023 Occupational Therapy ranks 1st.

An outline of the modules can be found on the website but if you would like any more information on UEA or Occupational Therapy please let me know 🙂

I’ll be studying OT & UEL I’ve not managed to visit the campus but it’s right by the Olympic Gardens and Westfield’s which is lovely. The Lecturer I was interviewed by left me inspired and excited to be a student at their university.

If you do decide to join UEL ping me message (and anyone else…)

Wish you success no matter what you decide

Six months in, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! The lectures are dynamic and engaging, making learning truly enjoyable. I feel packed with valuable knowledge as I prepare for my first placement, and the support I’ve received so far has been exceptional. I’m excited about what lies ahead!
