OSCE Preparation for Pharmacy Students

Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask what everyone uses to prepare for pharmacy OSCEs at university. I've heard the exams can be really hard and I'm super nervous about next year. I know there are a few books and my friend uses www.oscetoolbox.com which seems good, what do you use?
Thank you in advance!

Hi @SBKN,

As a 4th year pharmacy student at Nottingham I’ve found the best way to prepare for an osce is to practice with friends. Creating scenarios and practicing with each other is super helpful as it lets you practice saying the information out loud, in a patient friendly way, which I find is sometimes harder than the information itself!
Some universities have a student body that set up mock osces with situations and answers, which I’ve found super helpful.
Something to keep in mind is that osces aren’t trying to trip you up, they’re not going to ask you something really obscure that might have come up in one lecture, they’re just trying to see if you know how to communicate with patients about simple things, obviously as years go on the consultations become trickier but they’re all based on the level of study you are at so I wouldn’t worry too much! The Cambridge-Calgary mark scheme is super useful to see what things you need to include in a consultation.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
