Is University of Edinburgh worth it?

Hey,

Edinburgh is around six hours away from where I live, which isn’t really an issue but I’ve heard the level of teaching and support available is actually quite poor. The city is beautiful and it’s my dream uni for Literature, so it’d be a shame to not pursue that.

I know student satisfaction stats are very low. Does this reflect people’s real life experiences?

Student satisfaction stats do reflect experiences, although their accuracy may be up for debate. There are plenty of threads here on TSR about Edinburgh Uni and there will be people talking about their experiences here and in other places online, which might give you an idea of how things work at Edinburgh.

A bit like with Oxbridge, if you get the opportunity to study at Edinburgh University, you take it. Very few UK universities can compare to it, such as UCL, KCL, Imperial, LSE etc., but Edinburgh is so much more beautiful than these other elite universities.
