Go to see them for yourself. Speak to the tutors. Have a look around where they are. Ask about the extras the university offers. Then you can make a more informed decision.
Do not look at the rankings. Outside of the education they mean nothing to anyone. Employers are interested in you, not where you studied.
I would recommend visiting Open Days for each University, this is a massive part in helping you get a feel for which one is best for you. Here you can look around the campuses, look at halls and the different city's that you'd be living in. Reading around your different choices is important however everyone's opinions will be different, and like the person above commented, rankings are considerable but ultimately it should come down to which university you personally feel most drawn to. Have a look at the course content offered by each uni for your specific subject area. Consider material, assessment methods and teaching time- this will help you make a decision based on what is more suited to what you want. Perhaps an important area to consider would be student satisfaction rates, this is a real reflection of where each University stands regarding the recommendations from their students and alumni's.
As a LJMU graduate, I can guarantee that it is a great university! As of 2024, Liverpool John Moores University has placed second in the Uni Compare Top 100 University Rankings for 2025! We have consistent high student satisfaction rates, and from my own experience I can safely say that LJMU is a really great University. Academic staff are dedicated, the student support services are vast, we have really great graduate outcomes with 95% of our graduates are in work or further study 15 months after they graduate according to the Graduate Outcomes Survey 2023. LJMU is in an amazing student city too, with so much to do here throughout your studies.
Whichever decision you make, do remember to keep what is best for you in mind. Good luck and hopefully we might see you at LJMU! 🙂
