I was doing this physics question and I have no idea where the markscheme got the radiuus of earth. I couldnt find it in the question or the edexcel equation sheet. Are we supposed to remember things like that? if so , what else do i need to know

I can see from the logo in the top-right of your images that the question has come from PhysicsAndMaths.com. PMT have "borrowed" the question from Edexcel's 2020 Paper 3, where it wasn't a question in its own right but was part (c) of Question 11. Part (b)(ii) of Question 11 states the radius of Earth in the question.
PMT have done you dirty here my extracting part (c) of Question 11 into its own question without realising that it relies upon information provided in earlier parts of the same question.
