Seeking Advice and Referral for British Army Application

Hello Everyone,

My name is Francis Jatta, and I am a citizen of The Gambia, which is part of the Commonwealth. I have a strong interest in joining the British Army, and I’m particularly interested in the upcoming opportunities for Commonwealth citizens, specifically for roles like Musician and Paratrooper.

I understand that these roles are currently open to applicants who have been recommended through the Recruit Bounty Referral Scheme by a serving soldier. Unfortunately, I don't personally know anyone in the British Army, which is why I’m reaching out to this community.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to connect with a serving soldier who might be willing to recommend me. I’m fully committed to meeting the necessary requirements and am eager to serve. Any guidance or support from this community would be incredibly valuable to me.

I suspect you would be better off starting in The Gambia and looking to see if there is an ex-servicemen's club/society you can get in contact with. Service often runs in families so they are almost certain to know currently serving people.
Musician and Paratrooper are very different options though, you'd have a completely different experience joining either trade. You probably need tone a bit clearer about what trade you want to join and to wait for more options to open up.
