drama vs further maths

im interested in acting and theatre but only very recently i dont have that much confidence and ive never done anything acting related and havent done gcse drama. should i try performing arts or drama and theatre - im anxious ill be bad at it and everyone around me will be way better because most people who do it will have probably done gcse drama or have had a long term interest in it.
if i do it ill be doing it as a fourth a level so ig i can drop it if i end up hating it but should i even bother doing it. im debating between this or just doing further maths as my fourth. is it too late for me to get into acting or can i start even with 0 experience.
also i have no idea what im doing at uni or if ill even go and the only thing im leaning towards is medicine even though i dont wanna be a doctor and the other three alevels im gonna do are chem maths politics

why do you want to do medicine? it sounds like you don't really care or are that passionate about it, which might make writing your personal statement difficult. Not to mention how much effort a medicine degree is, if you don't even like the subject then you might end up just experiencing burnout. If drama is what you actually want to do, then you may as well try it, if your confidence is the only thing stopping you then you'll regret it in the future I think

Hi! I did Performing Arts at A Level equivalent having never acted/ done theatre before and my class had people in the same position as me, as well as people who had been doing drama since they were 3 or 4. I’m now going to drama school to do a Masters, am part of a theatre company and have a degree in theatre so it’s fair to say that it’s 100% worth the try if you think you’re interested!

As you’ve said, if you really don’t gel with it you can drop it after first year so there’s absolutely no harm in trying, as it will be a subject that will boost your confidence and push you out your comfort zone which are great things to have experience in whatever career path you choose. I think the biggest thing is just don’t feel pressured to do something you don’t want to do (which is easier said than done I know), there were plenty of people on my theatre degree who had either done a gap year because they weren’t sure what they wanted to do, or people who had started a degree like physics or maths and had changed after realising it wasn’t for them
