Student finance mistake

Hi,

I made a SFE application but accidentally put that I live with both parents but I only live with my mum so only her finances are relevant.

Can you cancel an application and start again? Or can you just change what you put?

I’ve applied but it’s not been confirmed yet

What is your mums marital status? There is no need to cancel the application for this. We can advise how to amend it, once you confirm your mums status.

Hi,

My mum is single and on a an income just above minimum wage. I am in touch with my dad but he in no way supports me financially and I have not lived with him for many years.

What should I do?

We would need you to put the mistake you done in writing, along with your name and customer reference number. You would need to state what your mums marital status is and provide evidence of this. Do you know if she receive's the single person discount of 25% on her most recent council tax bill?
