Retaking igcse as private candidate

So i got my results today and it's actually very bad. (Im so fcked up) I got a C (69) for my geo and chem so i'll talk to my exam counsellor and ask for remarking or rechecking whatever. For spanish and add maths i want to retake my test as a private candidate. Can I just find a centre and apply by my own or do I need to contact my school and apply through my school? Pls help😭

If you can retake your GCSEs at your school as an exam centre, so much the better (saves you from making a lot of calls). If that's not possible, you would need to retake them as a private candidate
