Anger management

Hello,
I live with someone, let's call them X acts in a very cruel way towards others (many of whom are very important to me). It is not physical, but works in almost every other way. I don't want to give any examples but I would just say that this behaviour is absolutely unacceptable, and X manages to hide it from others in their life, and the events are unpredictable. I feel very upset and angry when I see X behave in this way, because the others have done absolutely nothing wrong. It is casual cruelty and I have tried many times to talk things out with X to no avail. I'm not in a circumstance where I can avoid interaction with X. Their behaviour makes me retaliate in a way that is unpredictable and I get annoyed with people who might have done nothing wrong at all. X doesn't always behave like this, but when it happens it ruins my day. Advice?

It's really brave of you to speak about this on here, it sounds like a very difficult situation for you to be in but it's really great that you have been able to share how you feel. We would encourage you to speak to a trusting adult if you haven't already done so, and feel you can. If any of what you are experiencing in relation to your situation is leading you to have thoughts of suicide, please don't hesitate to contact us for advice and support.
