[Golden thread] What are your favourite memories of Secondary School?

This is a Golden Thread. Join in with the discussion before 29th August (tbc) to be in with a chance of winning a £50 Amazon Voucher!

It's now August, and for many students this means exam results! With this time of year in mind we want to hear from you about your favourite memories at secondary school (whether you are a current/former student!)

Comment with your favourite memories (funny, ridiculous, something which made you proud, something which had a positive impact on you later in life?) Let’s get nostalgic :fluffy: 😊

Golden Threads 2024

Each Golden Thread you make a post in counts as an entry into the competition and on 29th August (tbc) we'll be randomly picking a winner. Remember, posting multiple times in one thread counts as a single entry, but posting in multiple threads gives you multiple entries!

The more golden threads you post in, the more chance you have of winning!

My history teacher wearing a bedsheet and pretending to be Cholera while her colleague in a top hat pretended to be a Victorian gentleman and shouted a lot.

School productions were also pretty fun.

This made me laugh out loud. Made me think of a time in Geography when our teacher got us to stand on tables and others crawled underneath as we acted out warm and cold weather fronts. People were more relaxed with health and safety back then.
Hearing the previous post made me giggle I have many silly memories but I must say my leavers assembly video was the most memorable. My head of year filmed teachers and reacted himself as David Attenborough with the teachers being exotic creatures 😭Also some surprising messages from teachers that left very bittersweet

I really enjoyed this- maybe we should make a new thread "funny things acted out by teachers at school" 😄
Probably playing the Pirate game in maths to allegedly practice our "coordinates"
Our class was so loud we were told off for noise

Then the headteacher came in for a walkaround with some new senior member of staff and we all pretended to do past paper questions

Then they went and we resumed the Pirate game chaos

Here are a couple of fun threads already created by some of our ace volunteers:
If you could time travel, which year would you visit and why?
Which TSR users quoted you in the last 12 months?
Re-enacting scenes from Miss Marple was fun. Also seeing the English Language exam questions was a great feeling.
