could i realistically get into cambridge ?

I dont really care if i can or not cus i prefer other unis but if i can get my grades up then i probably will apply for fun (and also the course looks good - the course is asnc btw) i did it at summer school for a week in the department and it was fun but i dont mind if i can apply or not i just wanna know if its possible

my predicted grade are currently ABB and if i can get all of them up by 1 (A*AA) then i could apply but idk if thats realistic for the october deadline. Ive been grinding writing essays and studying this summer but idk whether ill be able to get the official grades updated in time so if ur a teacher or know anything then pls tell me ty x

If you're from a disadvantaged background, I'd recommend looking up the Cambridge Foundation Year as you'd only need BBB

im not from a disadvantaged background nor am i really eligible for contextual offers elsewhere but this is a really cool scheme they have !! thank you
If you get your predicted grades up to the entry requirements, there's no reason not to apply

thats what i was thinking like if i can then i definitely will !! its just the fact i have a month to solidify those grades idk how long the process is for making them official lol ill 100% try though
You'll have four other choices, so you don't lose very much by putting Cambridge down as the fifth one!

If you don't apply then the chances of getting in are 0%! If you do, the chances are greater than zero!

Cambridge might not decide to offer you a place, but make them make a decision

this is really good advice i hadnt thought of this haha !! the course has a fairly low application rate too so they said they take more time reading applications so i guess if i get my personal statement and other stuff sorted as well maybe i do stand a chance !
thank you

If your school/college are prepared to predict you the grades that you'd need for Cambridge it's worth thinking about! Obviously don't forget the early UCAS deadline if you do (15th Oct). If you'd be applying with predicted ABB then you would not be a realistic candidate but A*AA is worth a try if you think you'd like to!

yesyes my school definitely encourage people to go to oxbridge im trying to get my grades up but its currently its definitely about whether i can get my grades up and official by the deadline haha
The important factor is having adequate predicted grades. If your predictions are too low (eg, ABB for an A*AA course), you’ll almost certainly be rejected without an interview.
