Do I count as an estranged student?

My parents divorced before I was born, so I grew up without my biological father and received no support all my life. Does this count me as an estranged student, or must it apply to both parental figures?

Hi Mashikoko,

You would need to be estranged from both parents to be classed as estranged student. if you still have contact with your mum, your mum would support your application if you're under 25. The application will ask you the marital status of your parent and we may ask for evidence to prove this.
