It's that time of year again! :awesome:

This is the official thread for discussing accommodation swaps for University College London. :yep:

UCL operates a "swap list" 2 weeks after move in. This means you will need to move into wherever UCL allocate you and then ask to be moved elsewhere. This thread can be used for locating others who would like to swap.

Please be aware that last year, and further in the past, we have had examples of scammers using TSR to try and secure deposit payments from people who wish to swap rooms.

You must take care when trust people you don't know on the internet. TSR cannot verify who the users of this site are.

If you have found another person with which to swap, it is recommended that you then move to private messages to continue your discussions. To do that most effectively, we strongly recommend you do not use the anonymous feature on this thread.

In order to send PMs, you need to have had an account for several days and made a few posts. Within 24 hours of doing this, the ability to send private messages to other users should then be enabled. Due to this, we recommend creating an account as soon as you discover this thread, to allow you to get involved fully ASAP.

Hi! I've got allocated to a Single Ensuite in One Pool Street, which is better situated for students whose departments are closer to the east campus. In the registration form I didn't put down that I my department is close to the East Campus, so I guess there might be a mistake happened. (idk does anyone have the similar problem?) My department is closer to the main campus, and I'm preferring either Single Ensuite or Studio. Does anyone want to swap with me? (P.S. Astor college or St.Pancras are my prioritised locations)

I'm an incoming first year student at UCL and I got offered a hall that I'm not satisfied with, mainly because I find it too expensive. Does anyone know how I can swap accoms if not through UCL accoms? I see that people are posting their accoms here on TSR to look for people to swap with- how does that work exactly?

Hi! I’ve been allocated a single ensuite (£287.35 weekly) at UCL East One Pool Street. I’d be interested in swapping for an ensuite room closer to the UCL main campus because I’m an international student- one of the newer halls (Astor would be perfect) would be ideal and I don’t mind paying higher rent.

Hi! I am an international postgraduate student starting in September. I have received an offer for a single ensuite at Stapleton House (£336 p/w). However, it's beyond my budget and I am willing to give up my ensuite room to switch to something cheaper (a single room at either Ann Stephenson or Max Rayne House). Is anyone willing to swap?
