do entry requirements change for clearing?

i was interested in applying for a course at kings which has a current entry requirement of aaa but I want to know if this might be lower in clearing.

Hey 👋

Different universities have different policies when it comes to entry requirements during clearing. If the course you wish to study isn’t getting many applicants, the university MAY lower the entry requirements as long as you can demonstrate that you are passionate and a suitable fit.

I would advise calling Kings at your earliest opportunity to learn more about their specific policy.

Hi,

When I applied to Middlesex through clearing after COVID-19, the entry requirements were extremely low during clearing for my course. All I was required to have was basic C in Maths and English and to complete their basic maths and English tests. I was immediately helped to apply and get a place during the first phonecall I made and on the course of my choice extremely quickly.

Clearing was a great oppourtunity for me after COVID-19 impacted my A level results :smile:

. I am not sure if it will be more strict not but this was my experience.

How are you feeling? The best way to find this out, would be to give their clearing team a call as soon as you can and they will advise on this. It does depend on which university you are applying for and which course so the best thing to do is to contact them directly.

Hey @ax4,

The best thing to do is call King's Clearing line and discuss this with one of their members of staff. Sometimes, universities can be a bit more lenient with entry requirements during Clearing (especially if you've only missed the original requirements/your offer by a grade or so), but you'll get a better idea if this is the case for your course by asking directly.
