Clearing?

I firmed my offer at Uni of Liverpool, and if I were to be accepted but wanted to change to another university via clearing then can I call up another university that has spaces whilst holding my firm offer?

So hypothetically if I was given a verbal offer, would I then ask Liverpool to release me whereby I can change universities once I see the offer from the other uni?

Also during the clearing call with the uni, how would you 'sell yourself'??? Like what information would be said????

Thanks
Hi, yes you can call other unis while holding your Liverpool place. They may be unwilling to speak to you before you're officially in Clearing, but we think most will be willing to.

If given a verbal offer, you would decline your place at Liverpool via UCAS Hub (which is an irreversible process, so you don't really want to do this without a secure alternative plan) and add the other uni as a clearing choice.

Hey 👋 as mentioned above, yes this is possible - it would just require you to decline your offer on UCAS once you gain a verbal offer at another university.

In your call with the university that you’d like to go to through clearing, make sure that you express your interest thoroughly in the course and have any information you may require to hand - such as any qualifications you have obtained, including your GCSEs.

Best of luck tomorrow
