Reject Insurance Offer?? UCAS

Am i able to reject the insurance offer on results day if i dont get the grades i need for my firm choice. I have changed my mind on my insurance choice and definitely do not want to go there if i dont get my firm grades. I am willing to go through clearing after i reject the insurance offer. Will i be able to reject it after results day and go through clearing instead?

call clearing FIRST before rejecting your offers is probably the best plan of action
If your Firm rejects you, then your Insurance can decide to accept you or not.
This has all happened behind the scenes before UCAS reopens tomorrow at 8am, so if its happened then yes, you can decline that place and go into Clearing instead. But look at vacancies and phone some Unis before you dump that offer.

Hi Amlele,

As many other have said in this thread, explore your options through Clearing and see what uni's may have places for you before you decline your insurance as you don't want to be left with no options.

But also, consider this option- if you don't meet the grades for your firm offer, try calling them and seeing if they will accept you through Clearing if your course makes it to Clearing- so you may be able to go to your dream choice yet, you may not meet the conditions of your offer but you could still get to go there through Clearing.

Best of luck with tomorrow and we wish you the best of luck for your academic career wherever it takes you

Just to be clear, there is no point calling an existing choice about the same course - they made that decision days ago and wouldn’t make you jump through the hoops of clearing if they wanted to accept you.

You can call them about other courses.
