I got a C and a C in the first two units, if I retake them, will I just be given the better grades or will it override these grades, was hoping to get a B in both 😐

Hey @Vir3 👋

Firstly, congratulations on obtaining Cs in the first two units - whilst these grades may not meet your expectations, you should still be super proud of them!

If you choose to retake these exams and obtain Bs in your re-sits, this will override your current C grades. Remember, though, that resits will add additional work next year - rather than resitting, you could consider perhaps focusing on trying to gain a B in your next couple of units (assuming that there are 4) to try to get a B overall?

In my sociology A Level, I gained a C and C at AS level, I then gained an A and C in A-level and ended up with a B overall.

Have a think, and best of luck with what you choose to do.

Hi, can I just check if you're WJEC (in Wales) or Eduqas (in England)?

Ah ok, so the rules in England mean you have to resit the whole qualification rather than specific units and the most recent result is the one that counts.
