i got CCC in biology chem and maths a level. i wanted to do Mpharm B230 which is first year pharmacy. i got into pre-pharmacy which is two years and then you get put into second year of mpharm b230. is there any way i could still get into mpharm b230 ( i have already got an offer for pre pharmacy). i just really wanted to get into first year straight away and i’ve worked in a pharmacy for a year now and it’s exactly what i want to do.

Hey @hello738,

First off, big congratulations on your A-Level Results! I can understand why you'd want to go straight into MPharm, especially if you have previous pharmaceutical experience.

According to our Clearing list (linked here.), Pharmacy MPharm (B230) is currently in Clearing, so it would definitely be worthwhile calling up our Clearing line and discussing the possibility of making the switch with one of our members of staff. They'll be able to give you a better answer of whether or not the change is possible - the typical offer for MPharm B230 is listed at 120-136 UCAS points (BBB), but it's still a good idea to discuss your options with someone nonethless.

Our Clearing line is available on 0800 0483 334 (or +44 20 8328 1149 if you are calling from outside the UK).

Hope this was helpful, and if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. 🙂

Hi @hello738,

I'm sorry to hear you couldn't be offered a place on Pharmacy MPharm B230. Nonetheless, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences (Pre-Pharmacy) FdSc seems like a fascinating course, and if you're passionate about pharmacy, you should get a lot out of it. After all, you'll still be able to enter the second year of MPharm in two years time - and trust me, if your time at Kingston is anything like mine, those two years will fly by. 😂

It's hard to judge whether requirements would change in the coming days if the course isn't full, but I do know MPharm is a popular course here at Kingston University. You can definitely phone the Clearing hotline in a few days time to check if requirements have changed, but right now I'd focus on celebrating the results you have achieved and the place you've been offered on Pre-Pharmacy. Getting into university is a great achievement, and no matter what, you'll be studying a subject you love.

Hi,

Firstly congratulations on you place!

I don't think there is anywhere online you could get this information and I am also not sure on the numbers, however you could always contact admissions in a few days to find out. They will be very busy today and for the next few days so I would contact next week, unless it is urgent. Here are the contract links

I hope this helps

Hi there, my son has been accepted through clearing on the Electrical and Electronic Engineering BEng. Is there anything he can do in preparation for the course before starting? Do you know who his lecturer will be?

Hi @Claudi1000

Many congratulations!

Some courses send an email with a reading list that can help prepare you for the course. However not to worry if your son has not received an email like this as not all courses do.

I do not know who the course leader is for this course, but again emails should start to come through in the next few weeks with more information.

So if he keeps checking his emails, he will get all the information he needs to be ready to start in September.
