Clearing and current offers

Hi, i've recieved an offer at a university but wish to see if i would get an offer at a different uni, but when going to their application form it asks for my UCAS ID and im not sure if i will lose my current offer upon giving them my id. This uni also doesnt have a hotline where i could recieve a verbal offer

Hi @Ys_7877 👋

The university will just be asking for your UCAS ID to check your details - your current offer will not go unless you decline your place yourself.

It's strange that the university doesn't have a hotline, which university is it?

Hi, thanks for helping me out. The uni it City University of London, they have a live chat but no number, i also found that really strange

Yeah I also just double checked and it says there's no hotline number, you also can't apply directly through the live chat - the only way is to fill out the webform.

Hopefully the webform is straightforward to fill out and you hear back from them soon. If you have any queries, I'm sure you'll be able to get some support by messaging them directly on socials or emailing their admissions team (the response time may be relatively long though). Perhaps also consider contacting other universities that you may be interested in in the meantime while you wait to hear back from them.

It's likely the case that they want to check your details using the UCAS ID as they can't accept or decline an offer for you.

I saw in another reply that you were applying to City University of London, and I have their main contact number (020 7040 5060). If you would prefer to speak to a member of their team it may be possible to be transferred through this number!
