Failed my A levels but managed to get into uni.

Hello,
so, I sat for my A levels and failed most of them do to untreated mental health struggles. Im in university in canada now, and hoping to sit for my masters in oxford because I now have a GPA of 3.8. Should I re do my A levels since im in a better mindset and will be able to get the grades now?

Hi there, I would really not recommend resitting your A Levels since you are already at university! You should focus on doing well during your degree instead as that is what Oxford will mostly consider.

Hello,
thank you for the reply! I'm still kind of dealing with the after effects of failing, in the sense that I cant let go of it. Would re-doing them be a complete waste of time?

Have you just finished your first year?
Honestly I think trying to resit A Levels on top of keeping up with your degree course is likely to compromise your chances of achieving good grades in both qualification levels!
I think at this point it would just be best to just focus on maintaining and finishing your university with a 3.9. As you will be applying for a post grad course, your undergrad results matter so much more than A-Level. Unis will realise things will have changed after 4+ after A-Level study. In order to be competitive you need either a 1st or a high 2:1 (equivalent), around a 67%+, you are definitely in that range.

And here's a story to help inspire you. She didn't have the typical Oxbridge profile pre-Higher education, but she still made an application post grad and was successful:
